4 ideas for families during Thanksgiving and Christmas

This Thanksgiving and Christmas I wanted some ideas that my family could do together and some that I could recommend to the families at our church. These are all recommendations and all are just resources and ideas we have found or heard of. Here are the top four that made the cut this year:

#1-Bucket Lists

Who doesn’t love a good bucket list with ideas like “Have pie for breakfast” and “Picnic by the Christmas Tree” ?!

Download, print, and create your own bucket list:

 #2-Thankful Pumpkin

We are coming upon a season of gratitude and thanksgiving as we remember all the blessings the Lord has given to us. During the month of November, place a pumpkin on your dinner table and each meal time, take some time as a family to write down the blessings God has given you this past year. Use an artificial pumpkin to make it last longer.

#3-Shepherd on the Search

The Shepherd on the search, a fun family activity that celebrates the birth of Christ. Includes a beautifully illustrated interactive Storybook with dust jacket, 9.5″ plush Shepherd and a nativity keepsake box. Click here to buy off Amazon. https://amzn.com/B01KOUDF1Q

#4-Truth in the Tinsel

Spend the first 24 days of December experiencing the Christmas story. Each day Truth in the Tinsel will lead you through a passage of scripture, a corresponding ornament craft and talking points for you and your kids. It’s more than a devotion–it’s meditation and hands-on learning for kids. It’s more than a craft-book, it’s a memory-builder for your family. It’s more than an e-book, it’s an experience and adventure in God’s Word! Buy the book–>http://truthinthetinsel.com/ on FB- https://www.facebook.com/TruthInTheTinsel/

I do not know the authors/creators of these products just thought they were cool 😉 enjoy and have a Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas!
